Founded in 2010 by Master Carpenter David Dunn, our company is the result of over 40 years of hands-on craftsmanship, design insight, and a simple belief: quality work at a fair price. What started as one man’s passion for carpentry has grown into a family-run business known across Fort Mill and surrounding areas for custom-crafted decks, sunrooms, porches, pergolas, and more—all built with care, precision, and pride.
Our Story
From Apprentice to Master, From Father to Sons
David began his career as a union journeyman carpenter—learning the trade the right way, from the ground up. But it wasn’t long before he realized his true calling wasn’t just following plans. It was designing them. Building something better. Creating outdoor living spaces that didn’t just add value—but brought people together.
In 2010, he launched David Dunn & Sons, combining his decades of expertise with a vision to offer homeowners something rare: a contractor who shows up, listens, respects the budget, and delivers work that speaks for itself.
Today, that legacy continues with his son, Dan Dunn, who was raised on job sites and trained by David himself. Together, they carry forward the craftsmanship, work ethic, and client-first attitude that built this business from the ground up.
